University of South Carolina selects 18th Street Design for web site re-design services
January 12, 2007

18th Street Design (www.18street.com) announced today that the University of South Carolina, a university that serves the state of South Carolina from its flagship Columbia campus, three senior campuses, and four regional campuses, has selected 18th Street Design to re-design the web presence for the Undergraduate admissions department at USC.

"We are excited to be working with USC to help them develop a new look for their undergraduate admissions department. We are excited to be introducing newer, graphical technologies to their existing design standards in an effort to gain more exposure to the age group entering USC. ", stated Jay Wingard, Creative Director of 18th Street Design.

18th Street Design will design a new, more progressive design for the undergraduate admissions department at USC that includes flash animation, video and a more streamlined graphical layout to the university's approved web standard. In addition, 18th Street will implement a more user-friendly and usable navigational system for browsing the site's content.

About the University of South Carolina
In 2001, the University celebrated the bicentennial of its charter, but 2005 also marks a watershed anniversary: 200 years since the first classes began at South Carolina College, as it was then known. Carolina has endured the Civil War and Reconstruction, closings, and name changes. Permanently chartered in 1906 as the University of South Carolina, it grew throughout the 20th century and today is building its reputation as a cutting-edge research institution.
