The State Newspaper selects 18th Street Design for interactive site design for the 3rd Annual State Women's Life and Style Expo.

July 25, 2005

18th Street Design (www.18street.com) announced today that the State Newspaper, South Carolina's largest newspaper, has selected 18th Street Design to design an interactive, flash-driven web presence for the upcoming Life and Style Women's Expo.

"Each year the State's Women's Expo keeps getting better and better. Outstanding keynote speakers as well as services and products from trusted companies are showcased. It's an excellent resource for women and men a-like. We're honored to be selected to build a web presence with that market in mind." stated Jay Winged, President of 18th Street Design.

"I had seen several websites 18th Street had produced and was drawn to their imaginative, sophisticated designs. After a productive initial meeting, they developed an amazing concept that incorporated elements from both the Women's Expo and The State newspaper. 18th Street's innovative ideas mixed with our vision made for the perfect site", stated Lauren Tucker, Events Marketing Manager, The State Newspaper.

18th Street Design will create a new web site for the Women's Expo that includes elegant and sophisticated interactive elements that combine the use of flash animation technologies with graphics design that cater to the market that will attend the Expo.

About The State Newspaper
N.G. Gonzales and his two brothers, Ambrose E. and William E., first published The State newspaper on Feb. 18, 1891, as a voice in opposition to the political "bosses" whom they perceived as dishonest and incompetent. The name - The State - embodied the brothers' desire to create a record of events not only in the capital of Columbia, but across all of South Carolina. For more than 100 years, The State has maintained these principles and promises to become South Carolina's largest newspaper, with circulation in nearly all of The State's 46 counties. Its original mission of being the driving force in the everyday life of South Carolinians and serving as a leader for social, political, economic and environmental change remains at the forefront of the newspaper's practices today.
